Why Did God Create Us?

Motivation and dreams. God has created us to be dreamers. He has equipped within us the intelligence, the inner strength, and the motivation to accomplish our dreams. In addition, God has given us the promise of His Holy Spirit and His Word that we are somebody and that we can make our dreams a reality. God wants us to prosper in all things and to live a life of greatness. A dream can be a major game changer in your life. You are a perfect example that dreams coming true. Great ideals are thought of books are written, wealth is made, battles are won, lives are changed and saved by a dreamer who received, understood, and acted on the inspiration of a dream.  It will take time, patience, motivation, guts, and a strong desire to succeed to make your dreams a reality.

Motivation is the power that pushes you, that drives you to fight to the end to accomplish a goal, a dream or even a desire to reach the impossible. Dreams are a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in our mind during sleep or because of a thought that is born in our minds that is inspired by God, inspired by someone, or inspired by our five senses that is telling us that something needs to be changed, improved, or invented by us now!

You must be either a self-motivator or motivated by others or motivated by something or motivated by a life-changing event that causes you to want to act or to make a change.

So, what motivates you to do what you do?  Is it humming the music beats to your favorite song? Is it knowing that at the end of the week it’s TGIF, pay day or schools out for the weekend? Is it going shopping at the Mall with your friends? Is it being handed the keys to a new car, a new home or is it being given the keys to someone’s heart? Is it looking forward to winning the Gold at the end of the Rainbow or is it being the first to cross the finish line at the end of a tough race? What is it that motivates you?

More importantly what motivates you as a Christian? Is it your goal to be a good Christian? Is it your desire to study God Word or is it your desire to serve God’s people in a key position in Christ’s Army? Is it your mission to make lots of money, have a great Christian life, a blessed family or is it something more? Is it your purpose in life to make heaven your home and to hear the Creator say, “Well Done” my faithful servant?

How Does God Motivates Us?

Has it ever crossed your mind that God motivate you too? God motivates through his spoken and written Word, music, dance, by other people, life events and by spiritual dreams. Within these spiritual dreams are something specific that God wants you to do for His Kingdom, for yourself and perhaps the entire world. Not only does God gives us the motivation. He also births within us the knowledge, the wisdom, the spiritual gift(s) and the tools needed to accomplish these dreams. Deuteronomy 8:18Jeremiah 33:3Romans 8:37 and Philippians 4:13. Four GREAT reasons to shout “HALLELUIAH, GOD GOTS MY BACK. I AM MORE THAN A CONQUER”, AMEN!

God Wants to Help You

What did God promise in Jeremiah 33.3? He said, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Can I get a toot-toot? Can I get an Amen?

God gives us the Holy Spirit to help guide and direct our path. God gives us ways that we can help advance his kingdom. God gives us instructions on how we can improve our mental, physical and spirit health. God gives us the ability to attain financial wealth and yes, on ways on how to enjoy our Christian life as well. All God wants you to do is to ask, believe and trust in Him and accept the guidance of the Holy Spirit as your guide. Just as important, God wants you to believe in yourself and believe that you can put your plan together to accomplish your dreams.

Something to Think About

I was speaking to a young brother in Christ recently that felt inspired by a dream from God about opening a chain of Christian barbershops. He had an idea, knew his purpose, but when I asked about his plan, he had no vision on how to get this done other than to say, “I’m praying on it”. That is fine, it’s a good start, but not enough. Remember, God wants you to depend on guidance from the Holy Spirit in developing your plan. The fact is this situation may apply to you as well.

How many of you simply do not know what to do upon receiving a spiritual dream or an ideal from God? Are you afraid to take the first step in fulfilling your dreams? Are you the one that gets defeated at the first sign of a set-back? Are you the one that always gets discouraged by someone that is close to you that has doubted or has even sabotaged your past dreams? Listen to me very carefully. What God has for you is for you. It is now time to rebuke that spirit of doubt in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Do you want to hear some good news? It is now your season; it is now your time to get motivated to accomplish your dreams! Listen to this quote from Motivational Speaker Les Brown that talks about the graveyard and buried dreams:

“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

So, my question to you is this: Is your dreams headed to the graveyard too?

What Are You Going to Do About it Now?

Do you still believe in your dreams and yourself? Do you still believe by faith that there is a very good reason why God has chosen you! And if so, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT NOW?

It is now time to invest in yourself and your dream. Let us at I AM for Christ ministries be that motivating voice that motivates you to invest and act on your dreams. My definition of motivation is the force behind you that is compelling you to accomplish a goal or a dream. It is also the forces that keep telling you to get back up when you are knocked down. Now, go to the mirror and shout with highest confidence “This is my dream, God chose me, this is my season and I have the promise from God that I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me”. Amen

Every dream and every goal require directions from the Holy Spirit, plus your desire and vision to succeed, your commitment to finish, your victorious prayer life, your positive goal-setting strategy, your courage, and guts to get back up when all hell breaks out and your visual of you accomplishing your dream.

My Five Rules to Accomplish Your Dreams

1Understand the Purpose of your dream.
2. Develop a positive goal-setting strategy.
3Establish Rules for Success.
4Get Motivated.
5Prepare for the Fight Ahead and Win.

Understand the Purpose of your dream?

Understanding the purpose of dreams, especially from a Christian perspective, involves recognizing that dreams can serve as a unique channel for divine communication. Here are some insights to help you navigate the significance of dreams:

1.  Biblical Roots:

Dreams have played a profound role in both the Old and New Testaments. God used dreams to convey messages, warnings, and guidance.

Joseph’s dreams in the book of Genesis, Daniel’s interpretations, and the apostles’ experiences all highlight the importance of dreams.

2.  God’s Communication:

Divine communication: Dreams provide a way for God to speak to us. They transcend our conscious thoughts and allow direct interaction with the spiritual realm.

Guidance and revelation: God can reveal His will, purpose, and direction through dreams. Pay attention to recurring themes or symbols.

3.  Interpretation:

Prayer and discernment: Seek God’s interpretation. Pray for wisdom and understanding.

Biblical symbolism: Many dream symbols have consistent meanings in Scripture. For example, water often symbolizes cleansing or renewal, while mountains represent challenges or spiritual elevation.

4.  Personal Relevance:

Consider the context of your life. Dreams may address personal concerns, fears, or desires.

Reflect on emotions and details within the dream. Ask yourself: What message could God be conveying?

5.  Spiritual Warfare:

Dreams can be battlegrounds. Satan may distort dreams to confuse or discourage believers.

Discern whether a dream aligns with God’s character and Word.

6.  Testing and Confirmation:

Dreams can test our faith or confirm decisions. Seek confirmation through prayer and Scripture.

Be cautious of relying solely on dreams for major life choices.

7.  Submission to God:

Submit your dreams to God. Ask Him to reveal their purpose and align them with His will.

Remember that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

In summary, understanding the purpose of dreams involves seeking God’s interpretation, recognizing their spiritual significance, and discerning their relevance to your life. Trust that God can use dreams to guide, comfort, and reveal His heart to you.

3. Establish Christian Rules for Success

Establishing Christian rules for success involves aligning your life with biblical principles and seeking God’s guidance. Here are some key strategies:
  1.  Prioritize God’s Will:
    • Seek God’s will in all areas of your life. Prioritize His desires over your own. Jesus said, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33).
    • Pray for wisdom and discernment. Ask God to guide your decisions.
  2.  Set Godly Goals:
    • Set goals that align with God’s purpose for your life. Consider both short-term and long-term objectives.
    • Ensure your goals honor God and contribute positively to your spiritual growth.
  3.  Live by Biblical Principles:
    • Study the Bible regularly. Apply its teachings to your daily life.
    • Embrace virtues such as love, humility, integrity, and forgiveness. Let these guide your actions.
  4.  Practice Gratitude and Contentment:
    • Be thankful for what you have. Contentment doesn’t come from material possessions but from a heart focused on God.
    • Avoid the trap of comparing yourself to others. Trust that God provides what you need.
  5. Serve Others Selflessly:
    • Follow Jesus’ example of selfless service. Love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31).
    • Use your talents and resources to bless others. Success is not just about personal gain but about making a positive impact.
  6. Stay Accountable:
    • Surround yourself with fellow believers who encourage and challenge you.
    • Be accountable to someone—a mentor, pastor, or friend—who can help you stay on track.
  7. Persevere Through Trials:
    • Expect challenges. Life won’t always be easy, but trust that God is with you.
    • Persevere with faith and endurance. James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial.”

Remember, true success is not measured solely by worldly achievements but by living a life that honors God and impacts others. Seek His guidance, and let His Word be your guide!

4. Get Motivated – (Listen every day. Be inspired)

PRAY for inspiration, get pumped up by listening to at least one of these motivational speakers every day until and after you accomplish your dreams. Know that God is with you all the way.

5. Prepare for the Fight Ahead

Remember, God has given you this dream. He will also give you the tools, the desire and the will to accomplish your dreams. God expects you to put it all together and make this happen!

Let us pray. Heavenly Father you are the great Motivator. The Author and Finisher of our faith. We ask that you allow your Holy Spirit to guide and direct our path in accomplishing these dreams.
